How to Arrange Your Life Portfolio
The views and opinions expressed in this article are those of the author's - me - and do not necessarily reflect the views or positions of San Benito Strength.
For close to 5 years while in my mid-twenties I worked in the banking and investments industry. I had my brokerage licenses which allowed me to provide financial advice.
I switched to the health, fitness, accountability, and freedom industry (SBS is not in the mere fitness industry like Planet Fitness and other globo-gyms that supply equipment and hope you don't show up, totally different thing) because I saw the opportunity to make a greater impact on the lives of others than is possible in the financial industry.
When it comes down to it, the biggest portion of your life portfolio should be allocated to your health and fitness, along with investing in your family and network.
Now as a disclaimer upfront, I am not minimizing the importance of money or building financial wealth.
When all else is equal - health, family life, freedom, purpose, etc. - then a person with more financial wealth will probably be happier than a person without it. Or at least more at peace with more feelings of security. Money isn't everything they say, but try living without it. And I still enjoy following macro-economic trends and investing.
But the truth is that most people are WAY overweight in their life portfolios when it comes to their desire for money and WAY underweight in their desire for health and fitness.
To be sure, most middle to upper middle class Americans are more concerned with looking rich than actually being rich. But those concerned with merely acting rich (debt slaves) are not who I'm writing about here.
I'm talking about your typical responsible person who saves and invests for the future. Even they are way out of balance.
These are the people who are worried about saving and investing for their retirement at 65 when a lot of them won't even be alive at 65. And if they are alive, many of them, because they didn't invest in their health and fitness, will live a subpar existence for another decade or so, constantly at the doctor's office and refilling their half a dozen prescriptions.
Without your health and fitness, everything in life, including financial wealth, is a lot more difficult to enjoy.
Heath and fitness is the prerequisite for almost all that makes life worth living.
Just a reminder that we shutdown our society for over a year to in order to try and save people from dying of a disease of which 80% of its victims are obese.
Our collective decision to not invest more into health and fitness is really starting to reduce our quality of life not just as individuals but as a society.
For me personally, 2020 became 20/20.
I see things with more clarity than I ever have before.
We witnessed the majority of people who had already long ago given up their health and fitness also give up their freedom overnight.
Some because they were legitimately scared of the virus and others because they were worried about what others would think of them if they didn’t comply with ridiculous health orders. Again it was related to money as some were worried about what a potential customer might think of them if they refused to give up on their dreams and close their businesses.
When you don't have fitness and freedom, financial wealth means nothing.
For example, no matter how much wealth they have, both rich and poor spent almost 2 years unable to go anywhere, walking around in their cuck masks, and tripping over themselves to line up for an experimental vaccine. (I am not speaking of the ultra rich and powerful here as many of them did not follow these rules and it is obvious now that most of them faked their shots).
What good is money if you are willing to live like that?
Wealth means nothing without freedom, as wealth means nothing without health and fitness.
Many on the Left cry about wealth inequality in our country today being at all time highs.
This is true when measured by dollars and cents.
But really, the gap in financial wealth is a lot greater than the gap in actual quality of life.
Let me explain.
Mark Zuckerburg, co-founder of Facebook, is worth over 100 billion dollars.
But check this out -
He still buys cheap toxic food at McDonalds, and fiddles on his phone probably most of the day growing a pair of titties like any other random dickhead. And he censors unpopular speech on his platform too so he doesn't live free either.
Any poor bastard can do that.
Believe me, I can easily show you how to live like that without the need for billions of dollars.
What about Bill Gates?
Fourth wealthiest man on Earth.
Eats like crap, looks like a sad sack, his wife is leaving him, and he spends most his time bitching about the weather.
I know plenty of people with very little wealth whose lives resemble that.
What about this guy?
What's with these dudes?
We are told that these guys should be the source of our envy?
I don't like Gavin Newsom but I at least understand him a bit more. He uses his wealth to dine at fancy restaurants and uses his power to not follow stupid rules, even his own.
I eat finer cuisine and greater cuts of quality meat than those other guys with about .00000000000000001% of their wealth.
And I feel great and jacked too.
And I don't have to worry about my wife leaving me with all my money, or getting #metooed by some skank I said hello to in a bar 20 years ago. And I don't have to worry about getting wrapped up in some weird Satanic pedophile ring like some of these guys.
(Speaking of #metooed, I hope you all are having the talk with your teenage sons about living celibate until they are married. Or if they find themselves involved with a girl, make sure they know that if they become successful and at all wealthy later in life, they need to hide their riches and not display them in public. These chicks are on the warpath and they will make up a story about your sons even if things were consensual. They will say they were "groomed" or something like that even if there is no money in it for them. They will do it just out of maliciousness and to tear down a man's reputation forever and cancel him. You might think it's not a big deal right now but that's because these girls haven't taken off to college yet. Wait until they take their first "Women's Studies" course or after they feel so bad about themselves for sleeping around so much in college that they try to take it out on one of your son's. This may be the most important information I've ever shared with you. Boys, BE CAREFUL!).
The point I'm making guys, is that health, fitness, purpose, and freedom are what I believe are going to make you most happy in life and what sets you apart from normal people the most, more so than even billions of dollars.
And the rate of return can't be beat - strength, energy, confidence, longevity, stamina, virility, mental toughness - no other asset class is going to yield those qualities for you.
